Rights and takedown

Copyright in each song stays with its author, composer or publisher. Many older Tamil hymns are long out of copyright; a great many modern worship songs are not. Nothing on this site changes that either way.

Artist and album credits come from the source collection and are incomplete — roughly half the catalogue has neither. A missing credit is a gap in the data, never a statement that a song is unattributed.

Displaying lyrics to a congregation is generally what a church reproduction licence covers, and that licence is between your church and the rights holder — not something this site can grant. If your church holds a CCLI or equivalent licence, keep reporting through it as you normally would.

The export and presentation features are here to save you retyping songs you are already licensed to project.

Exports are meant for your own service preparation. Please do not republish the catalogue in bulk, or present it as your own — the transliteration and structure took real work, and bulk republication is also the fastest way to create a rights problem for everyone.

The public API is open for tools that help people read and present songs.

If you hold rights in a song here and want it removed, credited differently, or corrected, write to [email protected] with the song link and a note of your connection to it. Removal requests are acted on without argument; there is no form to fight through.

For factual fixes — a wrong title, a bad transliteration, a missing artist — the “suggest a correction” link on each song page is faster.

The English text throughout is generated by the transliteration rules in this project, not an official romanisation, and it is approximate on proper nouns in particular. Where the source already carried a human-written English name, that is used in preference.
